36th SNEC Vintage Treasures 2022

Vintage Treasures” is hosted by the Southern New England Chapter (SNEC) of The Antique and Classic Boat Society (ACBS). The show features some of the finest examples of wooden boats by builders such as Chris-Craft, Gar Wood, Century, Lyman, Elco, Penn Yan, Fay & Bowen and other distinguished non-wood builders. We hope that you will enjoy looking at these magnificent mahogany boats and that they bring back memories of earlier days when wooden pleasure boats were a common sight on the water.

The Southern New England Chapter of ACBS would like to thank the Chapter members and the many volunteers, without whose help this boat show could not take place. The Chapter also would like to thank the Connecticut River Museum for its ongoing support of our annual boat show.

We are happy to welcome The Classic Yacht Association to our 36th Annual Antique & Classic Boat Show

In 1969, a group of enthusiasts of vintage wooden power boats formed an association for the purpose of fostering interest in these yachts. The Classic Yacht Association was organized with the dedication to promote and encourage the restoration, preservation and maintenance of fine old power-driven pleasure craft. Since that time, Classic Yacht Association has become a major influence across the country and beyond, in the growing awareness and appreciation of the classic yacht.

This year, joining forces with the Southern New England Chapter of the Antique & Classic Boat Society for the Essex Antique & Classic Boat Show, we hope to help reinvigorate interest in classic boating. The welcoming, historic waterfront of Essex is a wonderful place to gather. CYA vessels will be primarily located on the docks at Essex Island Marina.
